In the hopes of encouraging government support, on September
28th, 2007, the Barrie Latin Community Centre represented the
Latin Community in the Barrie Multi-cultural Association's first
Meet and Greet Dinner, which featured key-note speaker Jason
Kenney, Secretary of State for Multicultrualsim and Canadian
Identity. The multi-cultural Association also presented a $1,000
cheque to Gilda's House. It was a good night with a great
turn-out.

May 5th, 2007 The Barrie Latin Community Centre takes
part in the Many Cultures Once City Barrie Show at the
Allandale Recreation Centre!

The Barrie Latin Community Centre was the
charity of choice of the Barrie Latin Festival
2007. It was an unbelieveable day with
great success!

On Saturday March 3rd, 2007 The
Barrie Latin Community Centre
Officially Launches the creation of it's
organization and host a launch party
at a local family restaurant. With a
free dinner and guest speaker mayor
Dave Aspden, live performances and
kids entertainment it was a huge
family fun event!

On April 25th, 2008 representatives of the Barrie Latin
Community Centre joined others in the community to welcome
Barrie's first Director of Culture; Quammie Williams. It was an
afternoon of fun and warm gathering and the BLCC was happy
to be a part of it,. The BLCC would like to extend their personal
best wishes to Mr. Quammie Williams in his new position and
extends their best wishes and welcoming to his beautiful wife
and family to Barrie.

Fundraiser event. Everyone of all ages is welcome for a full night of fun and entertainment!
